The Hello Smile
Chapa...  A Los Angeles-based musical collective centered around the songs, stories, and vision of Lou Lewis.  This project brings together a diverse group of musicians from around the country.  The end result is a beautifully blended mixture of classical instrumentation, modern grooves, and timeless stories.  A sound best described as Orchestral Folk. 

The band consists of 5 individuals that play a multitude of instruments, such as, cello, oboe, english horn, pots and pans, vibes, bass clarinet, flutes, saxes, piano, talking drum, glasses, suling, etc…  You can learn more on the band by simply going to the buttons above and clicking The Boys

BURNING MAN 2008........  Wow...  What a week...  The Boys in Chapa shared the love at Center Camp once again.  The love was flowing...  Pics and Videos to be posted soon... 

Friday, September 12th, Chapa will be playing their first show at the very cool Unknown Theater.  This will be the 2nd show in as many weeks with the lovely Ms. Vanesa Monarch and De Selis

Great news Everyone...  The Cd Release show for A Look To The West has been booked for November  22nd @ the beautiful Los Angeles Theater Center (LATC).  This will be a full blown production with multiple elements of art, music, movements, and love.  The show will be directed by Myk WatfordJaimz Woolvett and Adriano Gonzalez will be joining the cast to bring Lou Lewis and Demitri Escobar alive.  Andrea La Hue will be bringing her talents to the show with some live Painting. 

The Boys have received their first national review from Music Connection Magazine.  Simply go to Their Opinions and check it out. 

ALBUM NEWS:  Mixing on the album is coming together beautifully.  Chapa has been working with engineer Scott Elliot.  1st Rough mixes are in the book, artwork is on the way, and the intentions are bright with hope.  The very talented Mr. Jaimz Woolvets and Adriano Gonzales have contributed their love and energy to bring voices to Lou Lewis and Demitri Escobar.  The guides of this life...  Also, The beautiful Miss Catherine Feeney joined Chapa on the ode to Mom, This World Around You.  A new addition to the cast of characters, Mr. Myke Watford, who will bring to life Stu, The old man.  Thank you all for all of the love and respect.

Chapa have been lending their talents in other avenues during this time.  The boys have completed work with Music composer, Nick Delaplane, on a new original song for an upcoming independent film, Flying Naked.  The song is called Imaginary Love and can be heard on the player below.  This is the third collaboration with Mr. Delaplane.  Check Goon on his page by clicking on his name up above.  Cool Stuff.  Keep your eyes and ears open for news of this release.  There are no shows at this time, which is ok.  The album is the main concern and has taken up the bulk of time.  A lovely time it has been...
